What is Happening to the Goodman Group’s Share Price?

What does Goodman Group Ltd do?

Goodman Group Ltd [ASX:GMG], is an integrated commercial and industrial property group that owns, develops and manages real estate, including warehouses, large scale logistics facilities, business parks and offices. It has a portfolio of 433 properties, spanning 16 countries around the globe.

The share price was up today making a six year high, the chart indicating conditions slowly improving for the company. Note the 2007 GFC correction which is typical of the REIT’s.

What now for GMG shares?

GMG and REIT’s in general are travelling well presently; this would suggest solid leasing activity and occupancy levels, and that annual rental conditions are improving. This can only happen in a steadily improving economy.

This cycle is only getting started and REIT’s as a whole are well placed and represent a good long term play. You just need a little knowledge of the real estate cycle to take advantage of it all.
